Kick-ass Quote

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan

Song – Elvis Presley “Blue Christmas”

Learn English with Music: Elvis Presley, Christmas and Colors

Lyrics

I’ll have a Blue Christmas without you
I’ll be so blue just thinking about you
Decorations of red on a green Christmas tree
Won’t be the same dear, if you’re not here with me

And when those blue snowflakes start falling
That’s when those blue memories start calling
You’ll be doin’ all right, with your Christmas of white
But I’ll have a blue, blue blue blue Christmas

You’ll be doin’ all right, with your Christmas of white,
But I’ll have a blue, blue Christmas

  • Wei-Ju Hsiao says:

    A kick-ass quote suggestion,
I recommend a quote from George Bernard Shaw

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."

As a person who lives in a non-English speaking country, people often have doubts about English learning. Oftentimes they say it's impossible to master a foreign language without living in that country. Plus, they might think it is not a very useful language in the daily life. However, as "the unreasonable people" like us, we can prove we can still enjoy and master the language when we integrate it as a part of our lives. We can also proactively use the language to expand our horizons. Finally, it will become a social norm that anyone can make the most out of another foreign language
    if they want.
