    • Someone is living proof: someone that provides an example that proves that something can be done.
    • “Don’t be too harsh on yourself”: unpleasant, unkind, cruel, or more severe than is necessary.
    • Commute: to make the same journey regularly between work and home
    • “You’ll be able to empathize with each other because you’re in the same boat: if you empathize with someone or if you say you’re in the same boat with that person, you understand and share the feelings as that person.
    • Pick up (on mistakes): to notice (mistakes).
    • Come out of your shell: if you come out of your shell, you become more interested in other people and more willing to talk and take part in social activities.
