People all over the world want to learn English for many different reasons, and would you believe that a common reason is love?
Can Love Help You Learn English?
Love has inspired so many people to start learning English. Whether it’s love for another person, love for a celebrity, the love of another culture, or even, the love of meeting and connecting to people from all around the world.

Ask for (someone’s) hand in marriage- to ask someone to marry you
Get hitched- to get married
Have a crush on (someone)- to have strong but temporary feelings of love for someone
Have a thing for (someone)- to be attracted to someone, to be interested in someone
Hit it off- to have a really good relationship with someone from the first time you meet them (not just romantically)
Get dumped- when someone finishes a relationship with you in a bad way
Break up (with someone)- to end a relationship
break (someone’s) heart- to hurt someone emotionally, usually because you end a relationship with them
