Hey RealLifers, what’s going on?

This is Ethan, with a one-minute video for you.

So, today I’m going to give you some different ways to say “in the end.”

Is this RealLife?

So, “in the end” can be correct in English, but if yours is coming from Spanish or Portuguese, where a little translation of “al final” or “ao final” can be quite common, it’s not quite as common in English.

So, let me give you some other ways that you can say this, which will help you sound a little bit more like a native speaker.

So, first, you have “at the end of the day.” Then, you have “after all.”

So, let me give you some examples real quick, some different ways you can use this.

So, first, “We were going to see a comedy, but, in the end, we decided to watch an action movie instead.”

“We were going to go see a comedy, but, at the end of the day, we decided to go see an action movie instead.”

“We were going to go see a comedy, but we decided to watch an action movie after all.”

Alright guys, so, I hope that you’ve found this useful and that you’re going to use it to make your English sound a little bit more like a native speaker.
