Searching For an Experienced, Capable Full-Stack Developer to Lead Our Product

We are looking for the right developer to join our team full-time and play a critical role in the execution of our company vision:

To Create a World Beyond Borders

You will lead the development of a video chat web application, currently in private beta, which connects English learners with other English learners, from around the world, to practice their English while discovering new friends from different cultures, without needing a teacher. 

Primary Requirements

• Expertise in at least one Javascript framework (preferably angular)
• Expertise in at least one backend language (preferably C# .net)
• Ample experience and demonstrated success with challenging development projects in both back end and front end
• You should be excited by challenging problems and doing work that will make a difference in the world

Description

• You will work with technologies such as Asp.net Core, Angular, WebRTC, SignalR, Azure amongst others
• You will work remotely (home office) and collaborate with the Product Manager in daily meetings, and with other online collaboration tools
• We will set ambitious but realistic goals and hustle to achieve them, planning and executing on the product roadmap with OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)
• You will be immersed in an English speaking company, culture, and product experience, receiving ample support and guidance for your English fluency (Founded in Brazil by Americans, we're an English speaking distributed remotely in Brazil, Spain, and Argentina). 
• Being the sole developer (initially), you need to be able to produce autonomously, without micromanagement, researching and solving challenges

• Ability to match technical solutions to business needs 
• Experience and/ or interest in leading and mentoring others 
• Agile Project Management expertise
• Nice-to-haves (helpful,  but not absolutely necessary):
  • WebRTC expertise  
  • Dev-ops/ Servers/ Infrastructure Experience
  • Entrepreneurial experience 
  • University Degree in Computer Science or synergistic field
  • Other Core Technological Skills and Certificates
    
•  English fluency requirements: 
  • Intermediate to Advanced English fluency is a big advantage 
  • However, If you have a lower-level in speaking/ listening, but can communicate yourself in English reading/ writing, you still may have a chance.
  • No matter what your English level, feel free to fill out the application in Spanish or English
