What's the biggest obstacle for you as an English learner?

The greatest obstacle for me not only as an English learner, but also as an a person, that has to live life somehow, is my consuming laziness. And only now I’m starting to realize in what particular, harmful way this scourge has been influencing my entire life.
Language learning is sufficiently hard process itself, I guess, but with my “loved” habit of running from any difficulties it became unmanageable. At school I nodded at English lessons, cheated off my homework and ignored all really important (as I can see now) things teachers told me about amazing opportunities that knowledge of different foreign languages could help not to miss. In that way, despite the fact I first met English while being in a kindergarten, I were still blank in my first year at the university where I faced first expected consequences of recent laziness. The good thing is, I fully recognize this weakness today and really trying to defeat it.

Despite that obstacle, what motivates you to continue learning English?

In this part I’d like to thank my brother whose motivating example nudged me in a right direction. Neither the university, nor my parents, friends and acquaintance affected my completely wrong idea of English. But brother did! I’d been hearing him watching TV series in English in the room next to mine for few months (one of them was “Friends”, by the way)). At that very moment I suddenly realized that English was not what I saw in boring textbooks. It was the whole world for my brother, and this world was closed to me. So, it seems that the feeling of little envy caused a good thing that time, because I started to look for different ways of learning English.
And now I have a lot of things that don’t let me give up. Only a thought of possible ability to read books and watch movies in original language gives me proper motivation, because my pet peeve is the process of choosing the best translation or dub which won’t be found ideal anyway. In my “past life” I preferred to deal with this situation, but I don’t want to do it now.
Besides, I dream of the day (that will ever come I hope) when I can easily approach different people in different countries, have conversation with them, make friends. These all things are hard for me even if I use my mother language). I still remember my only answer for every “Hi!” that I heard during foreign trips - “I don’t speak English”. It was my shield protecting from unknown outside world. But now I have a strong intention to break it!

How has our Youtube Channel (Learn English with TV Series) helped you improve your English?

I would say that videos on your channel provide the rare opportunity to touch English without being harmed). The way natives speak, esp. fast speech, a large amount of different words, expressions and accents, grammar rules - all of these can scare you away from learning language. And, speaking about me, I was totally scared at the beginning of this path. Your channel appeared in my life in a very complicated period when I didn’t know what to do - try to win or give up. But now I’m answering these questions, and this is happening only thanks to “Learn English with TV Series”. I’m not an expert but I think you do your job in a right way! Those things that I mentioned above don’t frighten me anymore. I learned so much from your lessons that I don’t know what I should name first. For example, I discovered many different ways of how natives speak in everyday life and found a lot of expressions they use. These all things already help me to speak (partly in my mind, partly with my beloved brother)). Also while watching your videos I realized how helpful English definitions can be in comparison with simple translation of unknown words into your mother language. It was a real revelation for me and got me closer to comprehension of the language instead of learning it by heart.
Moreover I obviously improved my understanding of fast speech although I didn’t have such a skill at all a couple months ago! And even if connected speech isn’t my best friend yet, I believe I will get it, because on your channel you show a fair amount of it.
Thus, as far as I can see, “Learn English with TV Series” is becoming a reliable weapon in defeating my laziness in general and fear of English in particular. Thank you so much for this!

What's the biggest obstacle for you as an English learner?

First of all when I learned in the university, I don't have any idea about English because I came to a little school and collegue where we don't have English classes. My professor was to cruel, strict and I was so scared to make mistakes. So I hated, I really think all week about the classes and I didn't want to go. I study Electronic Engineering so I didn't have enough time to dedicate to learn English. So the biggest obstacle was my fear and hatred for the language.

Despite that obstacle, what motivates you to continue learning English?

After all I started to learn English on my own. With games and series. I discovered how to feel good and comfortable to learning a new language. It's so incredible. I love it with all my heart. I'm not so good but it's fine because I enjoy the process.

How has our Youtube Channel (Learn English with TV Series) helped you improve your English?

I saw many videos of yours and that's the form to enjoy the process without hate or feel bad because I don't understand many things in English. I really enjoy all the videos. I'm hopeful that one day I fully understand and talk the language. I don't have enough money to take particular classes because I still in the university but I have enough resources like your channel to improve. Thanks.

What's the biggest obstacle for you as an English learner?

Hi, my name is Ebraheem and I'm 18 years old, I've tried learning English several times in my life not only because English is an international language but also because I love American movies and like watching them all the time but without understanding anything sometimes I can't grab even one word after watching hours of movies. So I continued like that. One day I kind of like asked myself I've been trying to Learn English for many years for crying out loud why I'm not fluent yet, as I was in that thinking I hit on a idea that since I can't understand adults Americans English speakers why can't I try kids as I thought they will not speak so fast as adults do, so I hit on YouTube and search "English With Kids" but unfortunately, I met no luck there's no video for that but luckily! What's the biggest obstacle for you as an English learner?

Well, my biggest obstacles besides some really tough specific things related to English learning process such as pronunciation, grammar, and writing, are to get my questions answered. I mean, I live in a pretty small village where no one speaks the language. I can't find anybody to practice English with. Furthermore, my internet doesn't work most of the times and when it does, it's pretty slow. Actually, it works better from 12:00 am to 5:00 who is the time I am writing this. Although it's always been hard for me, I do not consider this situation as an excuse not to learn, but that's my reality, that's what I struggle with in my day to day life.

Despite that obstacle, what motivates you to continue learning English?

I love traveling as any other normal person does. So, being able to understand English native speakers has always been a dream of mine. I have some relatives that live in the US and visiting them is such a wish that I can't even tell.
Finally, English is part of my academic studies. In order to get a better job opportunity outside my village, I wll have to reach a higher English level (fluency).
As such, whenever I feel like giving up my motivation lifts me up.

How has our Youtube Channel (Learn English with TV Series) helped you improve your English?

Fortunately, after I found "English with TV series" I felt even more motivated to continue learning because all of my questions were finally answered, and my vocabulary just boosted overnight. It was only after I found English with TV series channel I started getting up at four o'clock in the morning (after all it's the time my internet works a bit better) to learn the language. I made it a habit to wake up earlier and I can tell you that it is so fun, attractive and cool to study with this YouTube channel. I can't live without English with TV series channel anymore. After it, I felt like I have a partner by my side.
To sum up, my English has improved eighty to ninety percent after my favorite YouTube channel English with TV series.
