Song – Vance Joy “Rip tide” (Flic Flac Remix)

I was scared of dentists and the dark
I was scared of pretty girls and starting conversations
Oh, all my friends are turning green
You’re the magician’s assistant in their dream

Oh, and they come unstuck

Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song
And I got a lump in my throat
‘Cause you’re gonna sing the words wrong

There’s this movie that I think you’ll like
This guy decides to quit his job and heads to New York City
This cowboy’s running from himself
And she’s been living on the highest shelf

Oh, and they come unstuck

Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song
And I got a lump in my throat
‘Cause you’re gonna sing the words wrong

I just wanna, I just wanna know
If you’re gonna, if you’re gonna stay
I just gotta, I just gotta know
I can’t have it, I can’t have it any other way
I swear she’s destined for the screen
Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer that you’ve ever seen, oh

Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song
And I got a lump in my throat
‘Cause you’re gonna sing the words wrong

Oh lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song
And I got a lump in my throat
‘Cause you’re gonna sing the words wrong

Oh lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you when you’re singing that song
And I got a lump in my throat
‘Cause you’re gonna sing the words wrong
And I got a lump in my throat
‘Cause you’re gonna sing the words wrong

Hi guys! Aw aw aw awsome!!! What a real great podcast! The point is that you make me work really hard…. so many stuff in there, so many links, so many new expressions. And this TED talk besides! I have to confess I'm hooked on listening to the podcasts. And WHY is it? It's because I'm in love with English, it's a big challenge for me. I can't stand earing "How I met your mother" in Spanish, it's awful! unbearable! inexcusalbe! You know, I thought I could understand and speak quite well English untill two years ago that I met an English couple of friends and I realised I couldn't understand them, I couldn't comunicate!! So frustating! And then I started to look for classes, boring classes…. until I met you, just looking up on the Internet… I don't know how I bumped into Real Life English… and believe. You're total!!! You are doing an incredeble job, serious and veru hepful! Thank you guys! I will ever be extremely grateful!! Take care, do ioga and long life…. the world needs you!

    Chad and Justin,

I’m a fluency member as you know and I’d like to know how to partake in a meet-up like this one you mentioned.

    Hi Guys
Excellent podcast . I always carry with me some RLE podcast to listen them while going for my weekly 6K run. You give us a lot of material to keep improving our speaking skills.
one suggetion: would it be possible to release any podcast focusing in the standard conversation?
I mean the typical conversation that you have in hotels, restaurants, airports etc..

Thanks and keep up the good job
    Jaime from Barcelona
